Fit-Kids Activity Bags

Everyday adults should have at least 30 minutes of physical activity and kids should have at least 60 minutes of physical activity. However, some people have trouble finding time to get in their activity. We recommend families keeping an activity bag in their car at all times, so that anytime your family is in the car waiting around or in between stops, your family can hop out and be active. These bags come in handy when you are waiting for one child to finish piano lessons, soccer practice, tutoring, etc. These bags will enable you to be active during times you would otherwise be inactive. Below are items I keep in my activity bag:

A jump Rope
A Frisbee
A small ball
Tennis Shoes
A kickball
A tennis racket and balls

Let your kids decide what they want to put in the activity bag. Try to include items that encourage you and the kids to be active together. Remember anytime you are waiting around in the car, to get out your bag and choose to be active instead of inactive.
