Bananas in a Blanket - Quick, Healthy Snack

Today on WHAS noon news, we made the quick, healthy snack called Bananas in a Blanket.

Ingredients: 1 small banana
1 -2 tbs of low-fat peanut butter
1 small whole wheat tortilla
1 small box raisins (optional)

Directions: Spread thin layer of low-fat peanut butter on tortilla. Place banana on one end of the tortilla, on the peanut butter side. If adding raisins, place raisins on the peanut butter next to the banana. Roll up the tortilla to complete your snack.

This is a well balanced snack because it contains foods from 3 different food groups: The tortilla is a grain (and even better, a whole grain), the peanut butter is a protein, and the banana is a fruit. This can even be used as a quick breakfast when on the go.
